2008 Year in Review........

| February 9 | February 9th may have been to cold to fish, but it is never to cold to eat. Members showed up at 7:00am and whipped up a nice breakfast buffet for everyone to enjoy. Some members were recognized for their previous years accomplishments...... (full results) |

| March 22 | The 2008 season started with rescheduling the first club tournament because of 6"-8" of snow. So a couple of weeks later, 5 boats showed up to start the tournament season. James Shelton and Geoff Baggett landed a good tournament sack to win.... (full results) |

| March 29 | High water and rainy conditions kept a few boats away, but Clint Huntsman and James Shelton found a few fish, including the Big Bass of the day......(full results) |

| April 19 | Even though he fished alone for this event, Bruce Higbee started the weigh-in with a monster 6.13 pound bass to set the bar for the big fish. Although the team of James Shelton and Geoff Baggett could not come close Bruce's hawg largemouth, they did manage a 5 fish limit to edge out the overall top weight with 14.53 pounds...(full results) |

| April 26 | The Cadiz Baptist Church team of Bruce Higbee and Kevin Roberts captured the "Church Leadership Appreciation" title with three largemouth weighing 8.19 pounds......(full results) |

| May 3 | Erin Eagleson and Dave Johnson made the adjustment to windy conditions to best the field with three fish weighing 9.52 pounds, anchored by a 5.14 kicker largemouth....(full results) |

| May 17 | Bobby Holmes and Mike Hardin took advantage of the nice weather to put together a 5 bass limit topping the scales at 20.10 pounds......(full results) |

| May 31 | FOCAS held a tournament in which the anglers must be paired as a male and a female. James and Laura Shelton had the most weight, but Tim and Kelli Yates brought in the biggest fish......(full results) |

| June 7 | The 6th Annual FOCAS Kids Fishing Derby kicked off at 8:00am with 14 children looking for good fish to make their day. At 11:00, it was time to count, weigh, and release the fish before the cook-out.........(full results) |

| June 14 | For the first time this season, FOCAS held a club tournament where wind didn't blow 20+mph. Bruce Higbee took top honors with 13.87 pounds and Matt Boehman and Tim Bush had the big bass of the day.....(full results) |

| June 27 | With 15-20 mph sustaining throughout the night, many of the anglers had a tough time sitting on their favorite nighttime holes. Nevertheless, the weigh-in proved to be pretty interesting with a few big fish crossing the scales........(full results) |

| July 11 | The first OPEN night tournament of 2008 had 19 boats looking for the big catch. Although the weights were not all that impressive, 5 of the 19 boats did cut a check. (full results) |

| July 25 | It's been said before, it wouldn't be a FOCAS club tournament without the weather playing a huge factor in the fishing. Lightning, rain and windy conditions had the fish out of the regular summertime night patterns........(full results) |

| August 8 | The second OPEN night tournament of the summer also had 19 boats battling for the win. Mike Hardin and Jason Meadows bested the field with over 17 pounds.......(full results) |

| August 22 | The fish were few and far between, but Dale Fentress and James Major brought a beautiful 4.52 pound smallie to the scales .....(full results) |
