Rough Weather = Tough Fishin'
October 23, 2004 |
| The Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society
hosted their final Open Buddy Bass Tournament of 2004 on Saturday, October
23rd. With high winds and rain showers, many of the regulars
that usually fish stayed home. But no matter how bad the
weather can get, you can always count on a few brave (wives tend
to use a different word) anglers to take on the challenge, 16 in this
case. Clint Huntsman and James Shelton, both of Cadiz, bested the field
with 4 fish weighing 10 pounds and 2 ounces. Included in the sack was
the biggest fish of the competition with a 3 pound 8 ounce largemouth.
The team collected $180.00 for combining first
place and big fish honors.
Narrowly missing out first place were Marlon Francis of Hopkinsville and
Jay Breckel of Cadiz. The duo caught 4 keepers weighing 9 pounds
12 ounces, missing the top honors by 6 ounces. The team collected
$95.00 for their accomplishments.. |
