32 Anglers
"BREEZE
"
through the FOCAS Buddy Bass Tournament

Mother Nature seems to occasionally remind us just how cranky she can
get. If high lake levels and stained/muddy water were not enough, she
decided to kick in some 25+ mph winds to stack the odds against the
competitors. Although this probably kept several anglers at home, 16 boats
decided to tough it out and compete in the 1st Buddy Bass Tournament hosted
by FOCAS. |

Rip Kirby and Barbara Estes of Cadiz braved the rough Kentucky Lake
conditions to boat 4 keepers weighing in at 12.4 pounds to earn 1st place.
The pair also landed a huge 6.8 pound largemouth to earn big fish honors as
well. Rip and Barbara collected $285.12 for their 1st place and Big Bass
victories. |
 |
| Gene Grace teamed up with Mike
MacDowell to earn 2nd place with a pair of smallmouth bass tipping the
scales at 8.4 pounds. These beautiful Kentucky Lake
bronzebacks earned the Hopkinsville anglers a check for $146.88. |
