The weather was not the only thing that was smokin'
June 17, 2006
       The second Open tournament of 2006 proved to be a dandy!   Jim Bayes and Fred Montgomery absolutely "WHACKED 'UM!"    The Cadiz pair hauled in a personal best weight of 22.77 pounds of Barkley Lake largemouth bass, including the big fish of the day at 6.91 pounds.    They collected $490 for their impressive accomplishment.  
        Although overshadowed by the first place weight, the team of Kerry Higgins and Charles Boren had nice stringer of Kentucky Lake bass weighing 18.71 pounds.   The Almo, Ky team collected $213.00 for 2nd place. 
        Rounding out the final paying position was Sam Combs of Newburgh, IN.    He, along with his dog, tallied 17.95 pounds for 3rd place, collecting $120.00.
