Local Anglers Raise Funds for Area Youth

June 19, 2004

The Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society hosted a benefit Bass Tournament for Big Brothers Big Sisters.    The tournament took place on Saturday, June 19th at the Lake Barkley State Ramp.    The proceeds will be given to BBBS at the Kids Fishing Derby on July 24, 2004.

     The team of John Curtis of Pembroke and DeWayne West of Hopkinsville won with a limit of largemouth bass weighing 12 pounds 10 ounces, winning a check worth $432.00. 

      Rounding out the paying positions were the second place team of Joe and Marty Noel, Cadiz with a 4 fish weighing 11 pounds;     Third place went to Clint Huntsman of Cadiz, and Marlon Francis of Hopkinsville with 10 pounds 4 ounces.     The Big Fish Award went to the team of Ted Martin and James Shelton with a 6 pound largemouth.
