a twist into the normal tournament format, FOCAS held it's first "Weigh it
in now or later?" With the day divided into 4 paying segments,
anglers were faced with the decision to weigh-in one of their keepers at the
8:00 and 11:00 times for 20% of the pot at each segment. The
"catch" was that any fish that was weighed in toward the first two big fish
pots was to be released and not returned into the teams livewell for the end
of the day.
Jeremiah and Billy Cline figured out the format by taking the first two big
fish segments with a 2-14 at 8:00 and a 3-4 at the 11:00 meeting. James and Mason
Shelton claimed the 2:00 big bass with a 5.0 pounder and the father and son
team also claimed the final weight with 13.3 pounds to claim the overall
total.
