Beautiful Weather greets the 1st FOCAS tourney of the season April 17, 2004 |
| The Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society
hosted their 1st Open Buddy Bass Tournament of 2004 on Saturday, April 17th.
Under beautiful skies, 17 boats were entered with three limits being brought to the scales.
Steve DeCoursey of Cadiz and Todd
Ladd of Crofton, paced the field with a limit weighing 19 pounds 2
ounces. Their huge sack of fish was anchored with a 7-10
Largemouth Bass, which is a FOCAS tournament record for the Big Bass Award.
Combining first
place and big fish honors, the team collected $331.50
for the day. Rounding out the paying positions were James Shelton and Clint Huntsman, both of Cadiz, with a 5 fish limit weighing 16 pounds and 10 ounces earning $147.90. Third place went to Tommy Estes and Marc Thomas, both of Hopkinsville, with a limit of bass weighing 11lbs 2oz collecting 98.60. |
