On Saturday, July 12, Fellowship of Christian
Anglers Society held the Family and Friends Picnic featuring a Youth Fishing
Derby. The fishing derby had a total of 22 children participating in the
3 hour contest. Children could fish from the bank or from a boat. After
the fish were weighed and released, everyone celebrated with a picnic and
time of fellowship.
All children that participated received a
fishing trophy. In addition, three other children in each age group
received awards for their outstanding catches. Winners in the 8 year old
and younger category were Mason Shelton (big fish), Reagan Hyde (most fish),
and Brian Billham (most total pounds).
Winners in the 9-15 year old
category were Lucas Riddle (big fish), Randy Lee Anderson (most fish), and
Jordan Darnall (most total pounds).
