| On Saturday, May 14, 6 teams tried to
handle what "Mother Nature" was dishing out. Well, make
that 5 teams after Bruce Higbee and Kevin Roberts decided that watching
fishing on T.V. would be a better idea. Strong winds,
thunderstorms, and downpours made it tough for the remaining teams to settle
in for a day on the water. But the storms subsided and it
turned out to be gorgeous day to appreciate our Pastors for all that they do
for Christ! Usually its the same 'ole story about tough fishing
conditions, but not this time. The remaining five boats were
rewarded with catches that would have won the last Pastor Tourney.
But in the end, the Crossroads team of James Shelton and Geoff Baggett
hauled in 15.7 pounds.
Norman Cotton broke out of his resent slump with a homerun.
He landed the biggest fish of the tournament, a 4.5 pound largemouth to earn
the Pastor Big Fish Award. After the
tournament, FOCAS treated all participating anglers to a lunch to satisfy
those appetites.
